I got into operations through the theatre.

For years I worked in live event production and stage management, where a missed cue or a logistics gap wasn't just a problem, it was a very public failure in front of a full house. That environment taught me how to stay calm when things are moving fast, how to think ten steps ahead, and how to build systems that hold even when everything around them is moving.

Eventually I moved into venue and event management, where I spent years building departments from scratch, managing high volumes of events, and figuring out how to work with all kinds of clients, all kinds of budgets, and all kinds of visions. What I learned is that underneath all the logistics and the timelines and the spreadsheets, what people actually need is someone they can trust to handle the details so they can focus on the work that only they can do.
